This section is the most importent section in the website, it is a section to inform you about the different aspects on ATV safety, unfortunatly the section is not complete yet and not adequate because we were consulting ATV profisionals for the content, our goal was to put pictures to make our lives easier but instead we got behind schedule and we set up a temporary ATV safety coulmn, we did it from a phone call, and all this information is from yours sincerly Bu Rashid (Tariq Al Daboos) Leader of the Daboos Team.

Safety Gear
Helmet: A helmet is used to protect your head from any injuries that are fatal during a fall from the bike, Helmets comes in shapes and sizes, and it is a number #1 necessity to wear a helmet for long and short rides.
Goggles: goggles are just like glasses but they are designed to fit in the helmet, they too come in different designs and colors goggles help to protect your eyes from any sand and dust.
Chest protector: Chest protector is a must wear safety because it does the important job of protecting your rib-cage and other vulnerable organs in the chest.
Elbow and knee protector: Elbow and knee protector are secondary but are crucial to keep a healthy joint and keep full performance not to mention the many days that you might not be able to ride on.
Kidney Belt: Kidney belt looks like it is not important but it is because it helps to keep your back straight and if your back is not straight during a trip in the future you might have a crooked back.
Boots: Boots come in different shapes sizes and designs but they all do the same thing which is protecting your legs and feet from two elements, heat from the headers and engine, and it protects you from violent hit and shakes.
Gloves: Gloves keep your hand free from blisters, bruises and cuts from the rubber grip on the steering bar, so make sure you have one every time you go out.
Mask: Mask is a special cloth wore under the helmet it protects your face from nasty sand swipes, and keeps your hair in good condition after a long and dusty trip.
Pre-ride safety
Capabilities of the bike: You should know the capabilities bike so you can decide if it is appropriate to go out in a certain trip, for example you cannot take a Suzuki 450cc Quad to a mountain trip because it is low.
Tires: Tires and tire pressure are very important that is why you should check them first check the treads on the bike if they are good, and then check the tire pressure and make sure they are correct, the correct tire pressure is 3.5 psi in the back tires and 4 psi in the front tires.
Checking: This here is a list that has important parts in the bike that you have to check before and after a trip:
1.Oil: Oil is a very delicate liquid that is crucial to the bike, so change the oil when it is black or if you see any unknown particles in the oil, or sand and dust you have to change it immediately or your engine will stall.
2. Petrol: Just check the petrol and see if you have enough, and always bring an extra container in long trips just in case.
3. Filter: Make sure the filter is not wet or clogged with sand and dust or the engine performance will decrease or worse it will stall.
4. Body: The body is basically all the plastic and frame bolts, make sureto tighten them so the bike won’t fall apart on the road.
5. Skid plates: Skid plates are a very important piece in the bike it protects the under carridge of the bike so make sure to tighten them tight and good.
6. Nerf bar: Nerf bars won’t fall if you don’t tighten them..usually, but they will make a very distracting rattling noise, and will shake violently.
7. Lights: Always check the lights if they are visible and they are working because if they dont you have to end your trip in a hurry before night fall.
8. Chain: The chain is an important part to look at because if it is not tight both the sprocket and the chain will be damages and then you have to buy new ones.
Suspension adjustment: Suspension adjustment is crucial for optimal performance and handling, so make sure the suspension is adjusted according to the type of terrain you are riding on, for more information go to tips and tricks
Riding safety
Safety Gear: Always wear your safety gear no matter how short the trip is, because if you don’t you will break a bone in your body and therefore decrease performance.
Never ride on road: Never ride on road because there is more grip and that will seriously affect your handling, also do not attempt wheeling on the road because you don’t know how many of your skin will be shed from that tough surface.
Keep well control of the bike: Always hold the bike properly and have control and always expect surprises so that you can be prepared and avoid any accidents.
Keep your eyes in the front: When you are riding always look forward because there is no traffic in the desert and there is only bumps and hills and other obstacles that you should be looking for.
Do not attempt professional stunts: Do not attempt anything that is beyond your skills because if you do you will get hurt because professionals practice years to prefect only one trick.
Keep holding the clutch: when you are riding use your index finger to hold the clutch, because it is a factor of keeping good control on the bike.
Keep holding the brakes: Keep holding the brakes because you never know when something will cut your path and you have to stop immediately.
